Designate the unit, Decide its loadout, and select a target.
The cogitator calculates every roll in the attack sequence to give you the exact probability of a kill.

FOUR INSTRUMENTS

READING THE ENGAGEMENT

Five Hellblasters hold their ground and open fire on a five-man Intercessor squad. The target is Toughness 4 with a 3+ save and two wounds per model.

Both firing modes begin with ten shots. With the Heavy bonus in effect, the Hellblasters hit on a 2+, landing an average of 8.33 hits.

STANDARD FIRE

The standard volley converts those hits into 5.56 wounds. After armour saves, 3.70 wounds get through—enough to bring down roughly one or two Intercessors.

The squad takes casualties, but there is virtually no chance of wiping it out in a single volley.

Kill chance0.0%

SUPERCHARGED FIRE

Supercharging produces 6.94 wounds, with 5.79 making it through the Intercessors’ armour. The increased damage cuts through the squad, destroying an average of 4.70 models.

Most volleys leave no survivors.

Kill chance79.6%

BATTLEFIELD VERDICT

Standard fire will hurt the unit, but it will not finish the job. Supercharging turns the same ten shots into a credible squad kill, with almost a four-in-five chance of wiping out the target.

All results use the selected weapon profiles and active rules. Damage is resolved model by model, with excess damage lost when a model is destroyed.

WHERE THE NUMBERS COME FROM

The catalogue is Dice Dakka’s own: every faction’s roster was audited against tournament play and ratified on 2026-09-05, and only tournament-legal datasheets ship — 100% of them priced by the Munitorum Field Manual. The data was originally derived from the community-maintained BSData project (11th Edition, final import 2026-09-01) and is maintained independently since.
